Alfredo Sorrondeguy faces charges of open and gross lewdness following the alleged incident at 440 Middlesex Road Thursday afternoon, Dec. 1, Tyngsborough police said.
The woman told investigators she was shopping at a store when Sorrondeguy walked up and took it out in a public area with several other shoppers nearby. Police arrested him in the parking lot a few minutes following the alleged incident, authorities said.
Sorrondeguy is a registered sex offender who was convicted twice before of open and gross lewdness in 2018 and 2019, according to the state records. A court found him guilty of indecent assault on a person 14 or older in 2017. Sorrondeguy was last reported to be living out of his car in Lowell.
